Come join us at the By AMFI store, to celebrate the launch of ANT fashion magazine on 30th June 2011 at 5pm, Spui 23, Amsterdam.
ANT is an independent fashion magazine that focuses on the celebration of absurd creative passion and features the pleasantly obsessed. ANT fashion magazine believes fashion is a form of expression that reveals the passion behind each individual. These expressions are real, honest and without shallow incentive. In order to create original, high-quality content, ANT explores the world of creative people who are led by their fixations for very particular things. During three months the By AMFI statement store will breathe ANT fashion magazine and sell the magazine, the product line and give the feeling of the magazine that is made by 32 students from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. From July 1 till July 17, By AMFI will be a participant of the design route Salon/2. Salon/2 (www.salon1.org) take place at various locations in Amsterdam, over a number of days whereby visitors can experience the creative works of both well-known and emerging artists/designers in different contexts, so creating a dynamic, interactive and social event.

THE STORE thinks in colours that don't yet exist, and creates forms that don’t limit. Come inside. Get caught in By AMFI.
With this concept the 15 creative brains behind By AMFI draw a connection to the growing crowd of young designers that are interwoven with By AMFI. Such as the 'ecstatic surface designers' Pinar & Viola, whose Credit Card Collection brings on the current bold look through which we throw a cheeky Hi to the Amsterdam fashion, culture and art scene. The net of 15 lines assembles talents, products and concepts to buy.



Individuals opens Fashion Week Downtown, the public programme of Amsterdam International Fashion Week, with the installation '10x10', based on ten iconic elements that characterize the brand. Individuals '10x10' installation from 21th - 30th january 2011. During the installation Individuals will launch their new label called CANVAS #1.

Strong opposites dominate this concept. Each image tells a different story; divine butterflies, raw meat elevated into jewellery, pressed fruit on a tender girl’s face and elegant moss growing out of a pair of trousers - these are just some of the examples to be mentioned. All images are made by AMFI students following the minor Visual Culture. They have widely explored the boundaries of fashion photography, and together with our specially sourced products the concept results into diverse interpretations of divinity and madness.

Souvenir By AMFI is our new store concept that brings you back to your childhood memories. The concept is inspired by Martine Johanna’s art and current illustrations. Symbols and organic shapes, but also fashion and art, the planet, life, love and death, are sources of inspiration to Martine Johanna. These aspects will be central in the store, and together with our specially sourced products they will bring the store to life.
